Matt Lenehan, CAIA
Matt Lenehan is the Managing Partner of Newport Private Partners LLC, an alternative investment firm located in Newport, Rhode Island. He is also the co-founder of Newport Investment Management LLC and Portfolio Manager for a concentrated fund of hedge funds for institutions and high net worth families. Prior to Newport, Matt was an investment officer at Dartmouth College, where he invested endowment capital and executed strategy for a portfolio of private funds. He previously worked on direct investments in real estate, private equity, and distressed securities as a vice president for a MassMutual investment subsidiary and Starwood Capital Group, a global opportunity fund. Matt also completed an MBA internship with Cargill's high yield debt and real estate groups. He began his investment career as an associate at a Boston-based institutional advisor.
Matt graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a BS in Finance and received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He is also a graduate of The Hotchkiss School and has been awarded the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
